Brooder Hen for chicks, sized 40cm by 40cm
This brooder hen is similar in principle to an Electric hen and as it is 40cm by 40cm it is ideal for raising up to 40 chicks.
It has the heating element sealed into the underside of the unit and imporved plastic casing which means it can be inverted if needed to provide under-floor heating for parrot style birds, if using a makeshift chick brooder.
The brooder is on 4 legs which makes it easily adjustable for when your chicks grow. When you notice the chicks form a circle around the plate then they are letting you know that it needs to be raised!
A well thought out addition to anyone who is rearing baby chicks. As it is powered by 45w, then it is also a lot more ecconomical that the 250w heat lamps.
This brooder hen can be used in any chicken house with power, or any rearing shed.
